Yesterday afternoon, Wilson edged Poly (by two strokes) and Lakewood beat Millikan 225-240, setting up an incredibly dramatic afternoon of Moore League girls' golf today.
First, the title tilt at Rec Park—the Wilson Bruins and Lakewood Lancers, both 6-1 in league, will square off for the right to call themselves Moore League champions. Opening swing will be at 2:30pm, and if you've ever wanted to see a local prep golf contest, this would be the one to see!
Then, at El Dorado, Poly and Millikan will face off for the final playoff spot, and third place. Because there isn't a full field of seven teams in girls' golf in the league, only three league schools are guaranteed a playoff spot, and since the Rams and 'Rabbits are knotted at 3-4, we won't know until after the last hole who will claim it. This one starts at 2:30pm, and be sure to come back to LBPostSports for info this evening!credits
