Women's golf coach at St. Ambrose University dies

DAVENPORT, Iowa - Officials say a longtime coach and teacher at St. Ambrose University has died.

University officials say Mike Orfitelli died Saturday evening. The cause of death was not released.

Orfitelli was with the university in Davenport, Iowa, for more than three decades. He was a professor in the kinesiology department and golf coach. He also coached the women's soccer team from 1994 to 2000.

Ray Shovlain is the athletic director at the school. He says it's been very sad and that Orfitelli seemed fine the day before.
